EB Games And Gamestop To Sell Zune

Another one of our insiders tells us that the video games only stores - EB Games and Gamestop will be selling the Zune.  As a matter of fact, they’re reservable right now!  So why are a bunch of video game stores selling the Zune?  Well as we understand it, since the Zune uses Microsoft Points (the same currency system the Xbox 360 uses for Xbox Live purchases) they’ve allowed the sell of Microsoft Zune in the store.  Not a bad idea considering that they sell Microsoft Point Cards at EB Games and Gamestop, which is why they’re selling the Zune there as well.

If you want to pre-order and reserver your Zune, you’ll also have to plunk down $50 in advance.  This does make us wonder if they’ll have any Zune/Microsoft Point Card bundles… it is very possible.

It’s also interesting to note that you could theoretically trade in your unused games to get store credit and use that to purchase your Zune.  You couldn’t possibily do that with the iPod could ya?

    well, funny thing is that the zune doesnt even have games… They will let you trade in games becuase they would rather have somthing that works, rather then the zune, which is just a functionless eye soar.
