Microsoft’s Zune boys have just released politically themed Zunes! The company put some partisan stickers on the back of their 4GB music players and has begun handing them out to convention delegates. The Democratic Zune is green and the Republican is red. Both tout a MS-sponsored message of environmental harmony. Hmm, maybe we should have headed down to Denver!

Gizmodo have taken a closer look at the premium headphones and the magnetic remote for the Zune. Thats right, a magnetic remote - you ain’t gonna lose that sucka in a hurry. Apparently the remote has the same that the Zune itself has. The premium headphones look pretty tasty and should provide pretty sweet sound… Good for watching Rudy on that screen!

Audio hardware maker VAF Research is gearing up for a global expansion, thanks to a deal with Microsoft that put it among a handful of authorised accessory suppliers for the software giant’s Zune music player. VAF has been picked by Microsoft to market its high-end Octavio Speaker Dock for the Zune, first in the US and then overseas.
Only 14 suppliers worldwide, including big brands like Logitech, have received Microsoft’s okay.VAF will use the “Made for Zune” logo, and has access to Microsoft product design information.
The Octavio is a tiny speaker that connects to the Zune as well as a DVD player and a television, operating at up to 105 decibels. It is designed to allow the Zune to be used as a home entertainment system as well as a portable music player. For the full article, click here.
